Biography

Eric Tabor has 23 years of experience in the environmental field, and has specialized in the area of air permitting and compliance for the past 16 years, particularly in the State of Ohio. Eric excels at assisting industrial clients to maintain compliance with state and federal air regulations while minimizing regulatory program applicability and related burdens, particularly in the area of Major New Source Review (NSR) avoidance through taking advantage of regulatory changes and through alternative emission calculation methods. Eric has worked with clients in a wide variety of industries, and draws on this diverse experience to identify creative/alternative means of solving problems. Eric also has excellent working relationships with many regulators at Ohio EPA, and has worked with clients countless times in negotiation with Ohio EPA on the client’s behalf regarding regulatory requirements and permit terms.

Eric holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (1994). He worked for August Mack Environmental in Indianapolis, IN and then Columbus, OH from 01/1995 to 05/2001, beginning with experience in many different areas (air permitting, SWP3/SPCC plans, SARA reporting, NPDES permitting, Phase I/II investigations, UST removals, soil/groundwater sampling and remediation, hazardous waste site cleanups, etc.) and then choosing to focus on air permitting and other compliance work. He worked for RMT, Inc. in Columbus, OH from 05/2001 to 01/2010, choosing to focus on air permitting work, specializing in more-complex air issues and in the State of Ohio. Eric started Tabor Air Compliance, Inc. in 01/2010 with the goal of continuing to focus on air permitting and compliance work to assist industrial clients with efficiently and effectively attaining and maintaining compliance with air regulations.
